OAK 311 has received this issue. Your service request ID is #871826. Thank you, in advance, for your patience as we work through a backlog of pothole service requests. Unfortunately the City does not have enough funding to repave all streets in poor condition. With limited funding, our response to resurfacing requests is limited to minor pavement and pothole repairs only. Our Street Maintenance Department will assess your street and determine whether temporary measures might be appropriate. Please understand that this work may be limited to pothole or other minor repairs, and that we have many similar requests. We will do our best to respond in a timely manner. The backlog of streets in Oakland needing pavement currently is $435 million and growing.

The automated OAK 311auto-response to this particular problem is not acceptable. Valley View residents have already been promised that the street was to be repaved starting in January (after PG&E replaced gas lines). There are 4 days left in the month and have not been notified of any updates to when this scheduled work will happen. The street is very poor condition and unsafe in multiple areas.

This is hilarious!! The street was COMPLETELY repaved last year, July 2019!! (after years of complaining). The fact that I am getting an automated response 11 months AFTER the work was completed by PG&E in a coordinated effort by the City of Oakland, with a message stating the work WON'T be done, just proves how this site is completely inept in tracking real information and updates.
